Kajal Agarwal Biography
source(google.com)
Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian actress, who has appeared in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, playing a minor supporting role, before becoming a leading actress in the major South Indian film industries. She rose to fame after her performance as Yuvarani Mitravinda and Indu in the 2009 Telugu blockbuster film Magadheera.

She began her acting career in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, in which she enacted a minor supporting role as the friend of Diya, the film's lead female, played by Aishwarya Rai. Only 3 years later, she got her next acting offer, which was veteran Tamil director Bhrathiraja's Bommalattam. The film, however, got delayed and released only in late 2008.

In the meantime, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry and played her first leading role in Teja's Lakshmi Kalyanam alongside Kalyan Ram, which did not do well at the box office. Later that year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-directed film Chandamama, which became her first major successul film.

In 2008, she had her first Tamil-language film release, which was Perarasu's action entertainer Pazhani. The film, in which she shared screen space with Bharath was a commercial success. Following this film, she had two more Tamil releases that year with Venkat Prabhu's comedy-thriller Saroja, in which she did a guest appearance, and finally Bharathiraja's investigative thriller Bommalattam.

Especially the former film went on to become a commercial as well as a critical success, but both films failed to boost her career as her roles were too insignificant. Both her Telugu releases that year, Pourudu and Aatadista opposite Sumanth and Nitin, respectively, neither received positive reviews nor were successul at the box office.

2009 she had four releases, three of which in Telugu. Her only Tamil film that year, which was Saran's Modhi Vilayadu, released first; it garnered mixed reviews and poor box office returns. Next she starred in the Magadheera, in which she essayed double roles for the first time. The film recevied universal critical acclaim as did the lead actors, including Kajal Agarwal, for their performances.

Agarwal, particularly, was praised for her portrayal of a princess, Yuvarani Mithravindha, in the film. The film was also commercially highly successful and broke several records, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film and as one of the biggest box office hits in India. Following Magadheera's phenomenal success, Agarwal became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry, catapulting her into the main foray of lead Telugu actresses.

Hot Pics Actress Biography

Formed in the wake of the L.A. punk scene, the Red Hot Chili Peppers combined funk and punk with macho, sexed-up lyrics. (One early track was called "Party on Your Pussy"). The result was a high-octane sound that made the quintet alt-rock favorites in the Eighties, then superstars in the Nineties. But as the Chili Peppers aged, their songs became more laid-back and lyrical, and the band went from flesh-baring firecrackers (a 1992 Rolling Stone cover featured them naked) to respected veterans.

After meeting at L.A.'s Fairfax High School, singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, guitarist Hillel Slovak, and drummer Jack Irons formed Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem before changing their name to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They became a popular attraction up and down the L.A. strip, though the early lineup was short-lived as Irons and the Israeli-born Slovak departed to form What Is This? Kiedis and Flea recruited guitarist Jack Sherman and drummer Cliff Martinez prior to releasing their eponymous debut in 1984. The album stiffed; Slovak returned, and the band took to the road, sometimes appearing onstage wearing only strategically placed tube socks.

The funk-heavy Freaky Styley (1985), the last album featuring Martinez on drums, was produced by P-Funk's George Clinton and featured appearances by funk horn players Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley. The record went largely unnoticed at the time. Irons returned to the band in time for the more rock-oriented The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (Number 148, 1987), which sold better than its predecessor. Any optimism was shattered by the 1988 death of Slovak from a heroin overdose. Disturbed by Slovak's death and Kiedis' own heroin problem, Irons quit the band a second time. An interim band with P-Funk guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight and Dead Kennedys drummer D.H. Peligro did not take hold. Kiedis recruited a Chili Peppers fan, guitarist John Frusciante, and auditions brought drummer Chad Smith. This version of the band recorded Mother's Milk (Number 52, 1989). With videos for "Knock Me Down" and a cover of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" on MTV, it looked like the Peppers were about to break through.

The band's lifestyle came under some attack, though, with Kiedis convicted in 1989 of indecent exposure and sexual battery in an incident following a concert in Virginia. The next year during a taping of an MTV Spring Break special in Florida, Flea and Smith jumped offstage, with Flea grabbing a woman and carrying her on his shoulders, and Smith spanking her. The two were charged, and Flea was found guilty of battery, disorderly conduct, and solicitation to commit an unnatural and lascivious act. Smith was found guilty of battery.

The Chili Peppers scored their first major hit in 1991 with BloodSugarSexMagik (Number 3), which featured the single "Under the Bridge" (Number Two) and "Give It Away" (Number 73). Produced by Rick Rubin, the record was written and recorded in a mansion the band claimed was haunted. It sold more than 4 million copies, leading to their headlining Lollapalooza in 1992. Just prior to the tour, John Frusciante left the band and was replaced by Arik Marshall. Marshall lasted only a year and, after many auditions and one false start with Jesse Tobias, was replaced by former Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro. The 1995 release One Hot Minute (Number Four) went platinum but failed to generate the unparalleled excitement of BloodSugarSexMagik, precipitating a fallow phase in the band's career. Flea joined Navarro for a 1997 reunion tour of Jane's Addiction, and Navarro and Kiedis slipped back into old drug habits. Navarro quit the group in 1998 to pursue solo ambitions, casting the future of the band in doubt.

Instead of breaking up, however, the Chili Peppers invited Frusciante to return, the guitarist having recovered from a severe drug addiction. The subsequent album, Californication (Number Three, 1999), was a commercial and critical triumph. The Chili Peppers were back on top with hit singles "Scar Tissue" (Number Nine) and "Otherside" (Number 14) and a major tour that included a fateful show at Woodstock '99, where the group had the dubious distinction of performing as a fiery melee erupted.

By The Way (Number Two) was released in 2002 and found Frusciante digging into the complexities of multi-tonal, layered guitar tracking. In 2006, the ambitious double album Stadium Arcadium (Number One) was the first Chili Peppers' record to top the charts and earned the band Grammys for Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song ("Dani California," Number Six), Best Rock Performance By a Duo Or Group With Vocal and Best Producer (Rick Rubin).

But for the occasional live appearance, the Chili Peppers spent the next two years on hiatus as Frusciante — with the occasional help from Flea — and Smith embarked on solo careers. Frusciante announced in late 2009 that he was leaving the band a second time to focus on other projects. The Chili Peppers' follow-up to Stadium Arcadium is set for release in late 2010.

Sadhana is a popular Indian Bollywood actress. She was born September 2, 1941 in Karachi, Sind, which was at that time part of India and since 1947 part of Pakistan. Her cousin was actor Hari Shivdasani, the father of actress Babita.

Sadhana was born in Karachi, the only child of Shivdasanis, a Sindhi Family. Her mother schooled her at home until she turned 8 year. They fled to Mumbai after the partition of India in 1947.

Hari helped Sadhana enter films. She was a chorus girl in Raj Kapoor's Shree 420 in 1955. She played a second lead in a Sindhi film called Abana (1958), which got her noticed and entry to an acting school. The school was run by film producer Sashadhar Mukherjee, and also had another aspiring actress named Asha Parekh as a student. When Mukherjee was casting Dil Deke Dekho (1959), he gave director Nasir Hussain a choice between Sadhana and Asha to play the heroine; Hussain chose Asha.

However, for his next project, Love in Simla (1960), Mukherjee again gave his director, R.K. Nayyar (Raj Kapoor's assistant) a say in who should play the heroine. Nayyar chose Sadhana, and she was paired with Mukherjee's own son Joy Mukherjee in the film. During the making of the film, Sadhana and director R.K. Nayyar fell in love, and married in 1965.

R.K. asked Sadhana to style her hair with a fringe (like Audrey Hepburn); this hairstyle later became a craze and is still referred to as the "Sadhana cut" in India.

Sadhana's film Mere Mehboob (1963) with Rajendra Kumar was one that helped make her career and is said to have some of her most beautiful closeups in early Technicolor. However, it was Raj Khosla's "Woh Kaun Thi?" (1964) which really became a landmark in her career and gave her the image of the "mystery girl," where her spellbinding performance kept everyone guessing to the very end. The film became a huge hit and earned her her first Filmfare nomination as Best Actress. Khosla was so enthralled with her performance that he would cast her in two more big-budget mystery films, Mera Saaya (1966) and Anita (1967). She would earn her second Filmfare nomination as Best Actress for the blockbuster Waqt (1965), where she set another fashion trend with her tight churidar kurtas.

In the late 1960s, a thyroid problem required taking a leave to goto Boston for treatment. Thankfully, she made a successful recovery, after her health scare, and continued to deliver hits like Inteqaam (1969), Ek Phool Do Mali (1969), and Geeta Mera Naam (1974), which she also directed. She then decided to retire from acting, saying that she wanted her fans to remember her as a young, beautiful leading lady. She and her husband formed a production company afterwards.

Sadhana married R.K.Nayyar in 1965, she was happily married to him for nearly thirty years, till his death in the late 1990s. She still lives in Mumbai meeting with many friends and family and keeping busy with her beautiful home and multiple projects.

Today, Sadhana meets regularly for lunch with other 1960's actresses: Asha Parekh, Nanda, Shammi,Waheeda Rehman, and Helen.

The first films India watched were not made in Bollywood but cinema had indeed arrived on India’s shores. The year was 1896, and thanks to the country’s colonial rulers, it was the Lumiere Brothers who introduced the art of cinema to the sub-continent. Bombay, as it was then called, was the first Indian city to screen Cinematography, six short films by these cinematic pioneers.

But it was a portrait photographer called Harischandra Sakharam Bhatavdekar who made Indian ‘motion picture' history. His short ‘reality’ film screened in 1899 was called The Wrestlers and was a simple recording of a local wrestling match.
It was only after the turn of the century that Indian entertainment underwent a sea change when the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, released his pathbreaking film of the Silent Era, Raja Harishchandra. The film, based on a mythological character, was released in 1913 and was India’s first full-length feature film. Yes, Bollywood had finally arrived!

The growth of technology and the excitement it generated the world over eventually gave birth of India’s first ‘talking and singing’ film – Alam Ara made by Ardeshir Irani and screened in Bombay in 1931.

Finally, India’s actors had found a voice. They could talk, they could shout, they could even cry, and they could do one more thing – sing for their audiences! It was a gift that remains the signature of the quintessential Hindi film to date.

Developments in the world of Indian cinema were rapid and the 1930s and 1940s saw the rise of film personalities such as Debaki Bose, Chetan Anand, S S Vasan and Nitin Bose, among others.

In the meantime, the film industry had made rapid strides in the South, where Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films were taking South India by storm. By the late 1940s, films were being made in various Indian languages with religion being the dominant theme.
